Hi guys !

I have finished work on a new album. Dhunadh Dubs. Electronica mixed with Dub and Jazz vibes. Live drum recordings and instrumentation. very pleased with this one! Music to combat the flooded winter blues. i hope u like it!

amazing as always. your more recent music strikes the finest balance between electronic and acoustic sounds that i've ever heard.

any chance of tracks like dank zappa, midnight at the arcade, bl1p sektor, etc. getting a proper release soon?

also, do you have to smoke to be a rasta?

dank zappa and blipsektor are bunched up on an album awaiting finishing for broken bubble. theyre next in the unfinished queue. arcade and the others are all finished and mastered for release with acroplane but its being held up until april time. im busy until early march now, so ill try n get the broken bubble one done during march.

its cool man, ive sent an album off to paul acroplane for release in april. more in the electric acid realms than the smokey organic stuff.

Blows my brain how many tunes/albums you produce, it's getting difficult to keep up with it all.

yeh im working pretty hard at it at the moment, changing software and methodology has taken a while to get everything back up to speed, but im really on it full time now.

still got tons of things id like to try and more material to release. aside from the blippy arp stuff for broken bubble, the next thing on the agenda is to release all my jungle tracks. they were a main stay of my live set for years, but ive never shared any of it online. so there's certainly an album or two of faster more breaky material. it will probably help to put the rest of it in picture too, i consider a lot of that material to be my best stuff.

i have given 4 tracks over to jungle syndicate to release. a version of mayfair gunn juice. i remixed that track 2 times. originally it was at 160bpm. i remixed into a heavier 180 jungle flex, then also did a 140 dubstep version which came out on acroplane with jinjanoon. so the jungle syndicate guys are gonna release the 180 version. then theres a swing remix track which was also gonna end up on jinjanoon but i decided to hold it back. 10mins of bigbandjungleremixness. theres also a long dub/jungle remix track which is from around the time of chops n wobbles/ jah lionn jungley. similar thing. annndd the last track is a straight 180bpm amen reece thing. all big tunes, so look out for that. its literally just waiting on me finalising it for mastering.

then theres a bunch of other left over jungle tracks which i wrote for gigs a few years ago and never got round to releasing.

ill post up more info once its all ready to go.

Why are you not signed to a major label? Your music is awesome.

i tried sending music off to some people a few years ago. since then ive decided id rather establish my own label and push things that way, gives me greater freedom to release what i like and i can do it much quicker. the downside is that its fairly low key at the moment, with limited traffic. im hoping that given a bit of time and some quality material people will begin to cotton on and things will start to build up. im primarily just focused on producing lots of music at the moment. i dont really deal with any promo. just a quick note to a few people who maybe interested.

Well that certainly makes sense. I have read a few things recently of people getting pissed with record labels delaying releases and hold ups with pressings etc. Fitting things into release schedules seems to be the worst offender so I can totally see your point of view with keeping it solo.

Word of mouth and social media are the only promo you need at this stage, if the music is good. And it is!

theyre making a 2 year anniversary party tonight so im gonna play a set. a big blend of old and new tunes. next wk a visit to zagreb with some other friends organising a party where i get lots of time to play which should be a good show. a chance to play for a few hours and cover a lot of material. im going to try to get a recording from both shows to put online, so ill drop a link on here after.

things are pretty good at the moment :)

Could help to get some consistent visual identity going too, even if it's just a logo or typeface you use on everything.
