wip thing (similar to kettel/afx?)

i don't do this much, but here it goes...

 

i have a very rough WIP of a song I heard in my head today, quite like how it's unfolded so far, but still think it's missing... something... any thoughts/suggestions?

You've set the track to "private" so you can't embed it

I have a suggestion.

 

The track feels like it never quite get going and I don't mean that in a "where's the drop brah"-way. Maybe add some punchier drums later on or something? A bit like

maybe, since you mentioned AFX yourself. ,You said "how it's unfolded so far" in the OP, so I guess this is just the intro for something bigger?

 

I like the synths and melodies though so don't take this as if I hated everything. It's quite good but phatter drums would make it better. But it's still quite good.

Like Friendly Foil said, it has an interesting melody, but you definitely need to work on it longer, and flesh out and think about the sounds a bit more, then post it up again.

Definitely hear the kettel influence. Keep workin on it :)

Reminded me more of Mrs Jynx I'd say.

Definitely see where the others are coming from when they say it "doesn't really get going". Punchier drums would definitely do the trick (if you're not sure how to do this, compressors work wonders on percussion).

Thanks guys, mucho appreciated. I guess I just need to come back to this with fresh ears and add new sections, just don't really know where to go with it yet.
