You really don't like the new series? I think it's been pretty great so far. The discussion of evolution and dismissal of creationism in Episode 2 was fantastic.

Don't get me wrong - I DO like the new series - this is for those who appreciate the original, or can't stand the new one (some do) - either way, it's a great deal on the original series. I just wish it could be in HD - of course, all this stuff back then was shot on videotape and not film, so it's resolution-locked.

Haven't watched the new series, probably won't. But I can attest for anyone waivering that Sagan's original series is indeed excellent and totally worth the dough.

yup. got it. actually, cosmos is one of those shows i watch at least 4-5 times a month every year
