heres a few recent techno jams ive jammed out live with some hardware

my copy of logic has been playing up so ive been playing more and more with recording audio into my cassette 4 track, had varying results, keen on some feedback anyways.

i like running things a little in the reds for techno but i guess you could call these 'demos'

I like these a lot! Pris and needanewtape particularly. The distortion gets a bit distracting in parts, though I do usually enjoy that lo-fi aesthetic, and I do for most of the songs. Good stuff!

i like it. the music and the tone you got. it might be nice if you could try EQing to boost some of the highs to compensate for the tape roll-off a bit.

i like the idea of recording to 4track (i've considered getting one), and there are some nice looking 4tracks out there

mind if i ask which one you used? was it recorded at double speed (just curious)?

pris has a really nice feel to it! The claps along with the synth melodies reminds me of Mathew Jonson - Marionette :P

I would remove the toms or whatever you use at 4.28, they're too loud and sound way too cheap.

thanks dudes, yeah been thinking about eqing afterwards, i just gotta get my copy of logic to work so i can do so, or maybe ill just find a free daw which has some nice eqs to do so.. also my tape is getting real rough so i think i just gotta invest in a new one.

Yeah recording to tape is fun, although the whole lofi thing is a little lame sometimes, i would like to record in a higher quality but its hard when using all hardware and cheap gear at that, id like a soundcard with multiple ins to come from the mixer but yeah, cant afford that and stuck with a behringer mixer haha, does the job though. I have a tascam 414 mk2 for recording and yep it records at double speed.

i have a couple analog bits but most of its digital, mpc, emu sampler + synths and drum machines + fx
