When I first bought Richard D James album in high school (when it was still in "new electronic musics" section), I pronounced "Aphex Twin", as "Ah-phex Twin"-> Ah=A as in "Apple" or "Asshole" or a sheep's "baaah" (USA Amairkhan Engrish, that is). My IDM girl later learnt me that it was "Eiphex Twin", "Ayephex Twin".

p.s. What the fuck is up with "Aphex" in "Aphex Twin" being licensed from Aphex Electronics, or whatever it was... I haven't read it in years, but I recall on Aphex Twin releases, there used to be a note of the name being licensed. HWAT?!

In me hardware days, I used to have an Aphex Aural Exciter, which was basically a box of magic.

(edit: actually, I just remembered I used the BBE Sonic Maximizer 262, cuz it was cheaper than Aural Exciter, haha... but uh.... Same kind of thing.)
