Guest skibby
Voltage Phase Module by Amateur Tools DSP (imagine a juicy screenshot of the awesome gui) Currently a Win32 VST plugin that does exactly this: pushes and pulls the phase of one audio source using the amplitude of another audio source, at the sample rate of your DAW. VST is a trademark of Steinberg GMBH This is the beta version. This is so much better than the last version, FM Life, that we needed to rename it. (Since after all, its phase modulation, not exactly frequency modulation per se.) Why should you try it? It has mono and stereo modes, and a carrier/modulator inversion switch, and frankly, it sounds lush. You can even use it on one single track and self-modulate for texture. This version is lusher than the last version by far, and it works in "real time" instead of being a lag-fest. Please try WATMM? You were the inspiration. here's the (revolutionary if i do say so myself) download page (scroll to the info section) http://joshgura.bandcamp.com/album/zhaozhou-aghora-ep Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/83778-voltage-phase-module-win32-vst/ Share on other sites

Guest skibby
Thanks andihow! Updated to beta2, changelogue: lower cpu, much less wet/dry latency, awesome gui update, default settings change, range knob adjusted. same download page. Guest skibby
Here's a DL link just for WATMM, public beta, etc Reveal hidden contents http://joshgura.com/amateurtoolsdsp/AmateurToolsDSP_Voltage_Phase_Module_beta2.zip Here's some info about the plugin: Reveal hidden contents "Voltage Phase Module" (beta1) is a 32 bit VST™ plugin (VST is a trademark of Steinberg GMBH)Voltage Phase Module is an amateur quality sound manipulation tool for use in a Digital Audio Workstation such as Reaper, Cubase, Ableton, FL Studio, Renoise, and any other Windows based software that utilizes VST™ technology. It has one function and purpose, to phase modulate one audio stream with another. This means the amplitude of one signal changes the other audio signal's speed.V.P.M. (we'll use an acronym from now on) has four inputs.VPM can either modulate channel 1 with channel 2 "mono mode", or in stereo mode, channels 3 and 4 modulate channels 1 and 2 respectively, and 4 channels of incoming audio are processed. There is an additional switch that Inverts (flips) the inputs. Some DAW hosts allow multichannel routing, so to get full use of the plugin, it's good to know your way around your DAW's internal routing. The Range knob controls the range of the delay algorithm. This knob is not designed for automation because it is noisy. The Amount knob allows for musical phase modulation fade-ins and fadeouts, and timbre changes, and is more suitable for automation. This plugin is meant for experimentation, try it on a single stereo or even mono source.A perfect example of how to use this plugin is with 2 tracks of sine waves that change in pitch, give it a try.
