How prolific is your favourite WATMM artist comparatively?

Considering myself to be a relative completest,

I was wondering how do each of our various WATMM featured artists compare

in their outputs?

By no means a scientific study but here is a song count by each of the artists I have

in my collection just for general reference.

I'm sure some of you here could give more accurate numbers. I just thought it would be interesting.

Anyone with better internets skills wanna make some pie charts?

# Years making music v. # Albums v. # Tracks v. # Aliases v. # Remixes

Aphex Twin: 442 tracks

Autechre: 259 tracks (this is probably low...)

Boards of Canada: 127 tracks

Clark: 172 tracks

Plaid (incl early black dog): 346 tracks

Vibert: 343 tracks

Paradinas: 382 tracks

Wisp: 165 tracks

"prolific" to me = release rate, and regularity of release. Ae win on that score, by far. plus they probably have countless hours of unreleased material, snippets, works-in-progress, etc.

your numbers are completely skewed, btw.

Plaid (incl early black dog), but then not taking into account any early tracks from Autechre (including Lego Feet, or Gescom)?

okay then.

Included Lego feet and gescom but missed a few LPs cuz I dropped them post LP 5 til they redeemed themselves with quaristice & oversteps. (Hence why I said short a few on the Ae)

Also: "I'm sure some of you here could give more accurate numbers"....

So please do so. Presented as not accurate. By all means watmm, correct and expand the discussion.

it's all well and good putting numbers, but you've put Aphex Twin 442 tracks.

is that under the moniker "Aphex Twin", or does it include "AFX"? If it does, does that figure include tracks under Caustic Window, Polygon Window, Q-Chastic, The Tuss, etc. If not, why not?

more data required, sorry.

Yeah I remember counting all of his aliases and it was closer to 650+ or something.

There's an incredible amount of unreleased material too but all of the featured artists.
