Looks like the plan is to have a functional Gundam IRL in time for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Pretty ambitious undertaking, but it would be cool if they can pull it off.

I bet kids would love it.

To keep it real and analog, I'm gonna start posting to WATMM by writing my posts in fountain pen on hemp paper, putting them in bottles, and throwing them into the ocean.

If it could walk and contained the components to help it do so, you would think that something that massive and weighty would leave giant holes in the floor of wherever it strode. Not such a good idea for a sporting arena. And if it was light, there's so much surface area, you'd fear that a light breeze would topple it.

A member of the non sequitairiate.

I'm sure the engineers would have wind in mind - try to shape it so that it wouldn't be too flat.

But they should make it so the eyes glow a bright plasma blue colour. I don't care how corny that sounds, I think that would be fuggin dope.

actual Gundam/mecha esque tech is waaaaay off, if even possible...I remember some Wired article that tried calculating the energy needed for the Pacific Rim robots to work and the results were absurdly unrealistic
