The comics will still be pants anyway, regardless of whether the main character is wearing them or not. It's just a short gap measure to sell an extra few copies of the 1st issue of the run before they kill off the character and go back to whatever bland story they were telling before.

It's disney that owns marvel now. They probably were having a pow wow about needing a female lead that they can dump into every toy line, clothing, bedding and whatever plastic accessory they can cram down the throats of the girls of the world. And apparently thor was only major character they felt that they could comfortably retool without rocking the sales boat too hard. They couldn't give a fig about fans or cannon or mythology. And if this little ride doesn't work, someone will get fired and we'll go back to trousers thor, and leave tittie Mc time of the month (that's when the bad guys really down want to upset her (deal with it petina, oh and welcome to watmm , you might want to read the rules, they are down the bottom right hand corner, i hope you have a nice time here)) to the dustbin of history. Or this is completely wrong and they wanted to sex up the marvel universe, and so this whole thing was an attempt to bring boys back into buying comics instead of playing computer games. (see, just because i think something, doesn't mean that i can't think another thing, and believe that either may be right, don't pigeon hole me mutha fukaz, i'm awesome).
