imo this deserves a thread on it's own to spread the word. I just read through the Coil fb page that Scanner just put out a previously vinyl only release from 1996. The reason behind this is that the person that put it out (John Everall) has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. John Everall was the boss of the Sentrax label in the 90's and also put out stuff by Justin Broadrick and Mick Harris amongst others.

This digital release has been remastered and includes the original track that was not on the vinyl release.

All the money from this will go to the funeral costs of John and to Cancer Research UK.

I really miss this dark crunchy trip-hop era of music (a la the output from Meat Beat Manifesto, The Orb and FSOL from those same years)

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

Yeah, I get seriously nostalgic about this stuff even though I hardly experienced it back then (only brought up on a lot of FSOL in the 90's). This is actually the first Scanner release I ever heard, and it's on constant repeat since I found it yesterday, can't get enough of it. Get the same feeling with Mick Harris, mid 90's AE/Gescom etc.

Also, forgot to mention that the first track is a Mick Harris remix + the second a Bill Laswell one.
