Nice, was just listening to some of the Archives yesterday and wondering when their next release would be, they haven't put an fsol released out since 2012.

Sounds great! I haven't checked out any of these Environments releases. Truth be told, the only FSOL/FSOL related material in my collection is 'Accelerator' & 'Humanoid Sessions 85-88'.

I just found out about FSOL like a few weeks ago lol

might check this one out!

Nah, you're a wee child who can't wait for official release. Embarrassing. Shove your privilege.

Are they like the Morcheeba - I liked that Papa Nu Gin-E track they did on that Ibiza chill out album I bought a few years back.

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

Why is it Environment and not Environments?

I think maybe they're going for a distinct sound for each volume, like an imagined location, FSOL style.

Positive Metal Attitude

the environments series has been some of their best stuff imo or at least often rivaling their best work. imo they still completely shit on so much new electronic stuff coming out these days. these guys truly are masters.

don't do it Nemo!!

Positive Metal Attitude

I love Environments II, but haven't really cared for any of the others for the most part (3 had some good tracks). Hope this one will reach the same heights as II.

Following on from the themes of the first 4 Environments albums, Five explores the space / time / dimension that exists when we die. The moment of departure. It includes appearances from Daniel Pemberton (BAFTA nominated / Ivor Novello winning composer), Raven Bush (Syd Arthur) and Riz Maslen (Neotropic). The Environment series originally began as an archive of previously unreleased recordings but Environment Five features thirteen all new songs recorded in the first half of 2014.

Emphasis by me. Nice bit of confirmation that this is a new album rather than being based on old / unfinished material.
