Jimi: All is By My Side

Being a huge Dre & Outkast fan, really looking forward to this, he has the look down fo sho.

this is the sort of film i think would've made a great made-for-tv. i just can't see andre 3000 carrying an entire film but i don't mind being proven wrong

gonna watch this because i love jimi. not expecting much though. be nice if this was one the same level of awesome as ray.

It'll be worth a watch. Is it's anywhere near as good as Ray or Bird I'll enjoy it.

Pretty much feel the same. Doesn't look like they go into much of the darker aspects of Jimi's later life...but should be worth a watch.

Watched it without the sound (because at work) and I agree.

Benjamin doesn't look convincing. And isn't this the production that doesn't have license for official Jimi tracks? That's the kicker. Pointless without the real recordings.

watched it on my phone with the sound obscured by large air conditioning blowers, and agree that it looks like it wouldn't interest me. I probably jimid myself out for a few years with the couple of really comprehensive docos that came out in the past couple of years. Why would i want to see andré pretending to be the man. That said, like with the doors movie, this one is for the kids. Maybe it'll be an hour and an half of cool escapism for teenagers just learning about the world and it's special music, which is cool by me. i just won't be lining up to place it in the d/l queue.

Hadn't thought about younger audiences. Maybe it'll be interesting for them to see more of 'him' in motion. I guess, by today's standards, he's got a pretty limited collection of media to consume.
