what started off as a loud endeavor to piss my annoying neighbors off turned into a pretty decent track. i used my maschine and recorded the bit and chopped the beginning segments out where i built the beat.

Filler with no feeling. The only ok bit is the scutterly bit at 8.30ish.

Seriously? i think you should have been able to tell from the start there wasn't going to be any "feeling." its just a groove track!

Gets better as soon as the metallic ting hits. I think you can use some of this for a serious track though, would be a shame if it was left in a jam.

thats what i was thinking about doing... maybe i should add a section featuring some low end wobbly type things?

im gonna condense this down to like 4-5 minutes!

also im not looking for amy criticism because this beat took me roughly 15 minutes to organize heh

Yeah it shows, hence my lack of enthusiasm.

Hah, I liked it quite a bit, if that really took 15 minutes... great job. Lots of interesting stuff going on and lots of ideas scattered all over.. some are great, some are a little questionable (not a huge fan of this weird shuffle thing that kinda made it sound like DJs trainwrecking). I'm definitely interested to hear the compacted version... tons of potential to be a sick techno jam!

from 0:28 - 02:32 you have a song. it's a shame that the sounds don't lock to a groove before 01:14, because there were some intresting reverby noises but they were just samples plastered in there that weren't in sync with the groove. But you know all that and this was just a muckaround sound.

if I'm being honest, i kind of rushed this one because its the only way i get tracks done these days. i have a solid template for this one right now so i might eventually take that groove idea and run with it :)

sounds really clean, did you do any mastering on this? on maschine itself?

yes! all mastering was done on the maschine. i simply took the 10 minute jam session i recorded and put the wav into logic pro and cut out unnecessary bits and looped certain sections. the maschine rules.

ps welcome to watmm!

Enjoyed it quite good from my room in the middle of the woods. My sound system really approved this.

i like the "tunnely/industrial" feeling and some grimey quality. Great hi-hat that hits along the beat. It adds up alot.

room in the middle of the woods is the perfect place i would want anyone listening to my track. welcome to watmm by the way!

Never heard the original version of this, but I like what I'm hearing and the production is pretty tight. Love all the small details... but where's the bass? :)
