What do you reckon to this - does it feel like it's missing anything? Not sure if I can add anything else to it really, maybe some more percussive elements?

Hey I'm really digging this. Feels like there was time & energy put into it, to the point where it doesn't sound like an imitation of any particular genre or artist, but a unique expression unto itself. And like, there's this constant swinging pendulum chord progression upon which everything seems to be built, & all the sounds have this shimmery holographic quality to them - like, I dunno, a metaphor for life being this constant routine you keep returning to, with all the imaginings of what things could or would be like being flavourful illusions projected onto that constant groundwork

(yeah i like the title too. if imma be honest, evocative titles are what gets me to listen to something 90% of the time in EKT)

If I had a criticism it'd be that maybe the vocals are a little too on the nose? Or overtly straightforward, I mean. Again I dunno, I feel like any overly elaborate manipulation or lyrical complexity might kill the vibe a bit, but at the same time, repeating the one line four times in a row with the same delivery is slightly anticlimatic compared to what transpires around it

Thanks for taking the time to listen and give your thoughts. I really like your interpretation of it, I never approached it with anything in mind but I've been reading/listening to loads of buddhist teachings lately and that resonates with your response.

I agree about the vocals though. I think if anything I might chop up some other vocals and overlay them, but make the indecipherable, so they perform a more a rhythmic or melodic function.

yeah you could add some more percurssive elements
