Curious about this album, though.

I am a huge Flaming Lips fan, and tbh I'm not crazy about what I've heard so far.

It kinda feels like a Steven Drozd vanity project (for anyone who didn't know: Steven Drozd is the lead singer). The dude's a proper genius, but he's a half-assed frontman. Wayne Coyne's manchild magnetism and naive joi de vivre make him a great frontman. Steven Drozd is just a dude standing in front of a mic because he wanted to try something new.

Anyway, that's my take.
