pitchfork review of caustic window

LOL, Pitchfork (or almost any online music review site) never does its homework - CWLP never leaked - it's only a leak if it happens BEFORE something is officially released, which it did not.

Yeah, people forget it had lukewarm reception overall, some divisive reviews at the time. It was a flop nor universally praised, and Aphex Twin was a very acclaimed musician by 2001 - so yeah "massive disappointment" is a fair claim. That writer is decent (though he didn't seem to research CWLP's inception in detail), he's one of the last of the original pfork writers and was around when Drukqs was released.

Drukqs not my fave either tbh.

While there are good, great and monumental tracks on drukQs, the criticism of it as an album is understandable, I think.

Although I've listened to parts of the album many, many times, I've never listened to it from start to finish. So I doubt a reviewer not hyper-attuned to Aphex music would summon up the willpower to do the same, either.
