crowd fund aphex twin to play live

Read how you managed to kickstarter the caustic window album & well impressed.

WOuld it be an idea to put out the idea to try & crowd fund a possible live gig invite for Aphex Twin?

Fans seem to have done it with Foo Fighters in the US

COuld even suggest it being up Scotland way so all he'd have to do is turn up locally, play & get paid by us!

i will pay 1,000 dollars to afx to clean my house

how about we start some starter and pay afx 20bucks an hour to make new musicks

Man he plays all the fricking time already. He just said he won't use the Aphex Twin name for future gigs for the time being.

i'd like to see aphex twin play live with 909s and 303s and all his gear spread out all over the desk. and he'll play syrobonkus style acid while singing into the microphone "aphex aciiiiiiiiiiiiid!" and occasionally play the harmonica.

Yes.

I really don't get this. He toured massively for the last 6 years. He'll probably do more shows in the future. Crowdfunding a gig is also really unrealistic because everyone lives in other countries. Why would I pay for a gig in Scotland, that he would otherwise do anyway?

I love the internet's mentality this days, trying to "kickstart" everything they want to see happening. Like throwing money at the problem is all you need to solve it

This is pretty unnecessary isn't it? I would be down to fund raise for people that would actually need it, like say, Grant so he can keep Rephlex alive without stress, and in return we keep getting quality braindance. But Richard is already set, I mean he just released and album that's placing great in the charts and also got a decent amount from the CW kickstarter. I would say a Rephlex kickstarte type of thing would be cooler, im pretty sure Grant and Rephlex artists would benefit more than Richard. He has said he doesn't want to do lives under Aphex Twin but will do lives under other alises or anonymously anyway.
