old jungle tracks that aphex twin inspired by

Recommended Posts

I liked the quote from recent interview about old jungle tracks, could anyone recommend any that he may be referring to or would they be impossible to find now?

"And a lot of jungle people were actually car mechanics and painter-and-decorator types, like, pretty hardcore blokes. I wouldn't want to get into a fight with them. I know a few people who were like that, and I don't think that really exists any more. Maybe those sort of non-musician types do some dubstep stuff, or grime. But it didn't exist in jungle for long. There was only a couple of years where people didn't know what they were doing, and you got all these samples that are just totally not related in pitch"

I'm hardly a closed minded nun. Remember, I'm on a fucking IDM forum.... an IDM forum.. Think about that for a second before claiming people are closed minded nuns.

Would be great to see 'Manual Labourers Jungle" Curated by Pritchard d Jams with abad cgi illustrated cover

can't speak on Jungle tracks where people didn't know what they were doing, but the Luke Vibert VS Aphex Twin DJ set soundboard recording floating around the internet has some really great jungle in it.

It seems to me that he sampled some track from Oscillations (Bill Laswell) for S950tx16wasr10

The Oscillation Remixes album (http://www.discogs.com/Bill-Laswell-Oscillations-Remixes/release/3175), expecially the track by Atom Heart, was the record that made me want to definetly switch to electronic music making
