good thread to start as i'd like to know too.. Markus Guentner is the closest I can think of, he's also on the Kompact label. In Moll & 1981 are both very good albums.

yesyes more recommendations.....Markus Guentner so far is excellent. I'll give The Field another shot. had a friend show me him a while back and I was slightly underwhelmed. might have been my state of mind. or wrong album.


there's something about Gas, specifically the Pop album. never heard anything quite like it
