"Halloween Sessions 2"

This will be one of the simplest sounding songs on the record I am putting together, but also will probably be the most layered. This little track ended up with about 40-50 different tracks on top of each other.

It has a ridiculous amount of sounds right on the precipice of being audible. I kept playing around with more complicated melodies for the track and mixing them to the point where they only gave the faintest impression of themselves out in the distance.
I'm not sure any of it was necessary, but it felt right!

I'm sure it participates to the depth of the track a lot (and make it particularly interesting if you listen to it loud). I find that the difficulty, when you work with so much material for a track, is to lose the focus and distance you need to finish it with a clear mind. Congrats you succeeded. I kind of regret it's so short actually. Such atmospheres often need to take time for an optimal listener-envelopment!

Thanks i really appreciate your time and feedback. This song ended up being very difficult to get just right.

It was longer initially. Listening to it in context to it's position on the album my gut reaction was to keep it this brief.

It acts as a short breather, and kind of teases the very ambient back third of the album.
