What releases did stand the test of time for you? For me often releases are hyped as long as they are new but after a while I dont care anymore about them while others really stick for years.

snares (almost everything)

melvins (up to electroretard)

queen adreena

tool (first three)

aphex

hair stylistics

ceephax

throbbing gristle

placebo (first two)

marilyn manson (second album)

nine inch nails (first four)

"Whoa! Check it out! RO-BIGH-DUHS!"

sigh.. "That's Ribena.."

Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Emerson, Lake & Palmer

Pink Floyd - Meddle

Prince - Prince

Everything Mark Fell released as Sensate Focus

Aphex Twin - drukQs

Choice - Paris EP

i think the stuff aleksi perälä did recently will age very well.

Musically the whole Swans discography is timelessly perfect, although production-wise it sometimes makes me cringe a bit.

Cocteau Twins' Heaven or Las Vegas also is a masterpiece.

In terms of pure electronic music I think the oldie that ages the best is Phylyps Trak.

Syro

Syro sounded dated out of the box lel. First Dad-IDM release ever though so it's still pioneering

Kid A still sounds very fresh IMO

Mozart's Fantasie in C Minor, KV475

yes, late mozart, anything from beethoven, lots of other 'big' names of 'classical' music

Beside Echoes and One Of These Days, I think Meddle is not the most "timeless" Floyd album. Wish You Were Here sounds way fresher imho !

Satie as well.

Anything with strong melodies can age pretty well I think.
