DMX Krew

what's you fav DMX Krew releases and why? from what I've heard I like the WAVE CD (cause "the pleasure zone" is on there) and WAVE FUNK. I know he has a TON of albums and EP's; looking for recommendations.

dig the instrumentals, but the vocals on the early tracks kill it for me. I like Upton's cheese factor, just to a point ;)

Nu Romantix!

I'm just familiar with Wave Funk and a couple of EPs but the last album is great (Shape Shifting Shaman - or maybe one of the last? dude is so prolific)

Nu Romantix, hands down. The uh... gosh, what was it called.. 2 CD one put out on a different label than he normally does where one was called like, lounge music, and the other funk music was lush as well. I'll dig up my CD and update.

it's all about We Are DMX for me, oh and Collapse of the Wave Function vol.1

I love his synthpop stuff though, so good

it's hard to go wrong with wave funk, or that newer one Shape Shifting Shaman

so much of dmx's output is great (although each has a different flavour or reason for being great).

it's almost worth just diving in and listening to random EPs/albums. it's hardly ever a shitty listen.

maybe that'd be a better thread. post your least favourite DMX krew, and then from there you can assume the rest (which'll be most of it) is brilliant :)

my least fav is probably "kiss goodbye". i do like his singing most of the time though. his early cheesy 80's vibes are great.

good example of my previous post hehe! if this stuff is someones least favourite then surely that's a testament to how hard it is to go wrong with listening to dmx krew :):)

haha it does kind of sound like someone karaoke-ing over the song but the production is so good you can pretty much look past it and enjoy the cheese :)

I'm really liking Nu Romantix. I like the samples I've heard from the newer Shaman one as well, will give that a try. and I will def check out this 2cd lounge/funk release :)
