Guest gigasturtz
Hi! Here's a recording of our live set from yesterday. Attached is a photo of our setup. We are an improvisational duo. Some details about the instrumentation/gear: I played a buchla boat with the following modules: 261e 267e 281e 292e 206e as well as a eurorack case with these modules: DPO Maths Optomix Echophone Phonogene Rosie RCD Dixie I x 2 Metropolis Planar korgasmatron malekko vca i ran one aux send of my mixer to the input of the phonogene to live sample vocals (microphone routed through the mixer) i also ran the mic through an effects loop on one of the other aux sends that consisted of an Eventide Space and a Strymon Timeline. the two synths ran through the effects send occasionally as well. My compatriot, who performs under the Introvert monitor, ran two Octatracks, an Analog 4, a modded boss distortion, and a metasonix assblaster. He's absolutely brilliant on the elektron gear and a pleasure to play with. The output of the mixer ran to our custom made, tri-amped PA. I used the last two aux sends to run the signal to an Ampeg fullstack and a Roland Jazz Chorus 120 combo to give the live sound some extra crunch. In the recording presented here was taken directly off of the mixer signal, I duplicated it twice and used amp emulation to approximate the effect of the amplifiers and approach what the show sounded like. It's improvised. Well, Dennis (Introvert) has a library of sequences he has developed and works with, but the composition and dismantling and destruction of sequences/sound was all done live. https://soundcloud.com/gigasturtz/exacta-cube-12-6-2014 Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/85995-exacta-cube-live-set/ Share on other sites
