I've bumped the EP II thread a couple of times recently but good call, the album news is thread worthy. Both of the teasers for EP III sound excellent and then there's this track which is sure to alienate a few fans:

Haters gonna hate/crazed Carpenter fans gonna go batshit.

He kinda sounds like Bernard Sumner/EMF/The Beloved vocals. Yeah that's gonna go down well.

Packed in a triple gatefold sleeve (350gsm - 4/1 gutter printing)

100 copies red splatter 180 g
100 copies black 180 g

Luckily for me the standard red 140 g is my favorite. :catrecline:

Available from tomorrow morning.

I'm trying to buy it, but their stupid fucking website doesn't recognise my user account that their website says I have just successfully created.

Not impressed, so far.

Some people's orders got derped while they were trying to check out. I'm glad he made money, but bad website.

For those who missed out and might still want a copy, there will be a repress soon, with appropriately "aged" artwork.

2nd press Trilogy triple gatefold Vinyl Edition

Neuropa Records, in alliance with NO QUARTER, will put up for sale an additional pressing of 500 copies.

250 copies pressed on solid red vinyl, 250 copies on audiophile black wax. All units pressed on 140gr vinyl.

The artwork by Førtifem has been adjusted to fit the repress concept.

Keep an eye on the Neuropa Records FB page where the pre-order date shall be announced shortly.

I hear ya, I pretty much said the same initially in an earlier thread on here.

I'm used to it now though, and think it works. To me it adds an authentic tackyness to his sound that fits the B movie vibe he's going for I guess. I'm never quite sure how much of the crappyness of his videos is intentional vs. unintentional, there's some of both but the line is blurry, and they work either way. I mean it would be more artificial to make everything appear low budget in a fuzzy vintage sense. Digital, crisp and harsh is what actual poor production looks and sounds like these days.

Seeing it spelled out like that my reasoning looks strange even to me but purposely making your music sound shitty in a harsh way isn't all that different from all the artists bouncing their tracks to tape, VHS, and whatnot in the pursuit of "analog warmth". (Isn't it kind of 0PN's shtick on his newest album too by the way?)

I think it's probably mostly intentional. overall I really like what he's going for and am also a massive Perturbator fan, so I'm not complaining too much, but imho Perturbator has a much better balance to his sound. like when he channels the maximum-aggro noisy/fuzzy sound it doesn't come off as harsh e.g. in the last minute of this
