I listened to these the other night while soldering mods on to my monotron. Went together really well!

pitch CV in, gate in, cutoff CV in, 3V DC input

it took me a while to put it together but it wasn't as difficult as I expected; I'm kinda surprised I managed to squeeze it all back into the original case (though sacrificed battery compartment and ribbon controller).

it doesn't work the way I expected, but it's nice for providing a little detuned unison/fifth above the microbrute, and filtering my electribe sampler. Currently got a massive signal chain of volca keys -> electribe ES-1 -> monotron -> microbrute with CVs and MIDI going all over the place controlled by beatstep, got a fairly Move of Ten-ish sound out of the setup last night:

i sold my mini brute to a friend who also dislikes it

i got a bs2 that is more fun to replace it

so far its tough to beat for the price

I like the microbrute. It sounds good with the other analogs, and the cv matrix sealed the deal for me. I wouldn't mind say, an ms20 mini but I don't think I need any more analog synths.. Unless I go for the a4 in a year or so..
