plastic
Could definitely use some velocity manipulation on that steady drum click, to make it not seem so... stagnant. I like what's creeping up though. The bass on the distorted kicks it punching holes in your mix though. make some room for the other stuff going on, the beating in the sound because of that kick just kind of annoys me. I like the hat work kind of in the background. The piano needs to do something soon, or this track isn't going to work for me. I like a lot of the drum work on this, except for the mix of the kick problem. The harmonics could definitely use some interest though. Synth tones are a little dry as well. This kinda sums it up for me. Also I just found the notation a little on the basik side to be fair. To me the notes did come across as a little random. On 2nd listen I guess its fair to say the drums sat well enough in the mix even though at first I didn't get them. Reminded me of Mouse on Mars. Listening to it the first time did make me wince but on 2nd listen I would say it is kinda cuddly and sweet. Overall nothing spectacular but you know an okayish listen. BCM
Didn't like it mate. Sorry dude - too thin and creaky sounding, not enough bottom end (sAfrican American), sounded a bit like it was being played on someone's walkman sitting next to me..... I like the piano sounds in it!
