Tricone RC
A scientist and a single-celled organism will perform a piano duet at Biomusic, the 10th Peninsula Arts Contemporary Music Festival Quote When the piano keys are played, the cultured slime mould responds by changing its shape, and this movement creates electrical energy. By capturing the slime mould’s electrical energy and transforming it into sound, this new technology allows the slime mould to provide an auditory response to Miranda’s original musical phrase. Ingenious, reminds me of the radioisotope randomizer that afx and the noyzelab fella spoke about. Although the mould isn't a completely outside element since it will be responding to the piano. But who knows how exactly it will respond. What d'ye reckon this will be like? Danny O Flannagin
Could imagine this sounding very dissonant. Or the auditory response could just be noise Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide Danny O Flannagin's signature Hide all signatures https://nimajeb.bandcamp.com/music https://www.instagram.com/bengastphoto/ Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/86659-mould-controlled-acoustic-instruments/#findComment-2292076 Share on other sites
