Richard D. James - Complete Discography Catalog

Recommended Posts

This is a rather larger thread where I'm going to try and catalog every single piece of music released by RDJ. For each release I'll include a tracklist and some notes if there's anything interesting to say. Doing this alone would kill me, so feel free to give me suggestions and abuse. Cheers.

I get the feeling this isn't a very necessary thread. Do forgive me, I'm high off of sleep deprivation atm.

No, this is necessary! Will save me the effort of looking for everything. You can do it for me! (and I can get some sleep)

I think this is very much needed for other artists such as Luke Vibert

I agree, although it is way more fun to just stumble upon his more obscure stuff by accident. Even though he is one of my alltime faves, I still manage to find new stuff once in a while :)

"Richard D. James Album – 1996" listed here is the US version I suppose, the "Boy/Girl single wasn't included on the CD here in the EU...

You know, I tried putting some ascii art here to show my appreciation for this previous century effort of creating a full on discography. But the board-settings f%ck it up. So this is all you'll get.

kthx

I like this idea. I'd love to contribute, mind if I throw in some notes to get us started?

Come To Daddy – 1997

Originally released as two EPs of four tracks each. All eight tracks were later compiled onto the first EP. There are still no official vinyl copies featuring the latter 4 tracks.

Wasn't it the fact that it is 2 X UK EP (for more sales and higher chart postions) and an EU CD EP? I bought "Come to daddy" when it as released and new and it was the 8 track version. Edit: Checked discogs, the 8 track version came 10 days after...

Nah, you're a wee child who can't wait for official release. Embarrassing. Shove your privilege.

Oh I see.... you can only edit the post a certain time after posting it. In that case shall I just upload the doc I was doing then?
