Your Favorite BOC Album

Recommended Posts

what is your favorite album and why?

i personally like TCH the best, partly because it's the only album i own, and partly because it's a really good album.

:sorcerer:

(also, i searched if there was a topic like this and i didn't see one, and it's rather bland in here lately so i want to give everyone something to talk about)

Geogaddi has some amazing songs but as a whole I find it a bit too much altogether. I like all of their releases for some reason - even the least likeable(like the leaked Trans Canada Highway) - but I hope they will come up with something new sometime in the future.

what's wrong with the leaked trans canada highway?

and when is that coming out anyways? i listened to a bit of 2 of the leaked songs but i'm trying to leave it a surprise for when i buy it.

Oh well, let's see - it kas:

1 track from TCH 1

2 LSD - a good track but as I said before, it is nothing too different from previous works

3 A short filler

4 Skyliner - builds tension but kinda gets stuck in its own naive mood

5 Another filler and even lass appealing than the first one

6 Nosdam remix - boc has nothing to do with it

Overall, I like it, but my least favourite of all their stuff.

Tarsier has to be a dupe. Please tell me no one is that stupid.

Edit: Today I feel Maxima is their best album.

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

Geogaddi.

Widest range of atmosphere, a nice mix of electronic and organic sound sources.

And it has "You could feel the sky"......definitely one of their best tracks.

Geogaddi for sure, Hi Scores is awesome as well

And Tarsier, it's just a little suspicious that you have only heard one album of BOC and are touting them as your favorite band now (after Moby that is). TCH is very different from the rest of their stuff (in a bad way IMO) so it's kind of stupid to post these topics if you have only heard the one album. Really not trying to be mean, it's just a bit weird.

Guest chromakey_dreamcoat

Music Has The Right To Children is definitely my favourite. Yeah Tarsier, you just have one album from them. I have to agree with Cosmonaut, unfortunately. A real Boards of Canada fan must own all their ORIGINAL albums before considering their favourite tracks or albums.

Get the BOC out!

Guest The Ghost of Roald Dahl

MHTRTC seems to be, relatively speaking, their most straightforward album.

Geogaddi is slowly becoming my favorite for the following reasons:

Over the Horizon Radar

Corsair

You Could Feel the Sky

The Beach At Redpoint

Music is Math

Dawn Chorus

Over the Horizon Radar

Over the Horizon Radar

Over the Horizon Radar

Over the Horizon Radar

and so on.

ps Dawn Chorus

what a great album, i should have figured it would take a few years to sink in.

actually i've heard thirty second samples on itunes music store and i love almost everything i've heard. the only two songs that are ruined for me are over the horizon radar (i think that's the one) and beware the friendly stranger, the only reason they don't do anything for me is because they make me think about salad fingers and spoilsbury toast boy =(

but, i don't think you should judge me for the reasons you are, and telling me to leave, just because i only have one BOC album.

to the other guy; where else am i supposed to buy BOC albums? the stores on ebay are the best place, usually they are in mint condition or wrapped and sealed or what ever. plus, i tried ordering them at my local CD store but they said it was a small label so it would take 8 to 10 weeks to send, i am NOT waiting that long to hear those CDs!!!!! =P

and if i tried ordering them from an online store they would probably require me to have a credit card or something like that, which i don't have, so the only thing we can do is a money order. ebay is basically my only no-hassle way of buying BOC albums =P

in conclusion, i suppose i will tell you my true favorite album when i get my CDs. which will be next week =D if all goes well
