first SAW wasn't ambient at all, he said he named it like that for lolz and confusion, but the second is one of best ambient works ever, where he proved that he can be on same level as eno and others

Ambient doesn't necessarily have to be beatless, guys. 85-92 is mostly ambient imo.

But those youtube clips are still just exports of 12 songs or so each, so I'll stand by my view of them being kinda bollocks.

Haha I like those playlists. But yeah. Ambient to me is like many long lasting sounds in a track.

interesting stuff considering this guy is the de facto expert on that album. his list for an expanded/alt saw II is similar to my own.

its pretty short though because he's being quite restrictive on the criteria.. i'd probably include some of the 'borderline' tracks like ssnb, nocares, 07b and maybe some of tunes with a very minimal beat like Sline or Utopia. i think [bicycle wheel] is definitely a SAWII offcut as well, its got that insistent nauseous melody.

also i reckon blue carpet is more recent, it was uploaded amidst a load of rdj era tracks.
