Absolutely Atrocious Music That You Somehow Enjoy

Gonna put myself on blast here and set the bar pretty low. The following song by Adanowsky (who is actually the offspring of da gawd Alejandro Jodorowsky) represents everything I normally hate in music. Probably because it's some over the top 80's revivalist hipster bullshit... and I love it.

So yeah, if you have any guilty pleasures in your library that you don't really like to talk about maybe you can post it here.

^ I guess it's ok, but if this came out any other point than the very specific window of time where I was a depressed teenage kid who just moved and had literally no new music around besides whatever was on the alt rock radio station at the time, I would never have liked this or given it a listen. 99.8% of this stuff (buttrock) and their peers is straight up derivative and crap.

This particular type of cumbia. It's terrible, like joke soundcloud / tim and eric level / youtube shreds bad but it's hilarious and love catching it on the radio.

This is actually kind of tame, they often go nuts with the effects and pitch shifting and other silliness

39:00 onward for example

Sadly, I could play that early to mid 90's alt rock shit all day. Sentimental times, bro.

The Cumbia might sound a bit shit but some of those women tho...

Dios mio.

well of course it sounds that way intentionally, but seriously, the music itself apart from Jason's ranting could not be any more basic. I'm half enjoying it and half annoyed by it right now.

Take a trip back to 2006, if your dare..

To keep it real and analog, I'm gonna start posting to WATMM by writing my posts in fountain pen on hemp paper, putting them in bottles, and throwing them into the ocean.

I'm guilty of the occasional Ferry Corsten track here and there....many people would call that atrocious lol

I love it at 3:00 onwards. Dunno, brings back memories to what I listened to before jungle (then tech house then the idmz). lol

I hate this kinda sappy pop-bullshit love song stuff... But a couple years back my girlfriend (now fiancé) had this song on her iPod and it'd come up when I'd ride around with her. The lyrics and singing I could do without, but the beat kinda struck me as having an almost Clams Casino-like vibe and it's pretty well produced. Also if I'm gonna be fair, the guy CAN sing I just really don't care for this type of song. But... I do like the beat.

if you wanna spare yourself the vocals, just hear the beat...

Ya, i remember listening to a rock station when i first got into music. Bush, Creed, Puddle of Mud. It was all pretty cringe but it did introduce me to some good stuff like Black Sabbath and Tool

I like the work of Moby far too much for someone who posts here but worse than that is something I haven't been able to get rid of since my teens - my love of Limp Bizkit. I still listen to their albums occasionally and like a lot of their album tracks, not just the singles. I genuinely think this song is good.

"They're about guns, lasers, robots with laser guns in space. Monsters from the future. Explosions. Sylvester Stallone doing a backflip on top of a spike while Robocop carries a ghost up a mountain. Bombs and swords and that... IDM is awesome."
