Need help remembering 2 songs

First song:

Came out 2001-2003, possibly part of the hole electroclash scene, 2 guys, american, the song has sounds like rotor blades turning. The bands name or the song is about america and vietnam war. Muddy sounding everything, pulsating beat and bass.

Second song:

Late 70s New York band who only had 2 album, both of which were live albums which are considered classics. I'm sure there name appears in LCS Soundsystems losing my edge.
