There were two ties that required me to remove my vote. Hyperparasites sneak past dreaming about lucid dreaming, and the minipops kid beats Hypervelocity stars.

The top two seeds (Uli losing all the time, and enjoying getting your teeth drilled) are out!

The minipops kid is idm but I am fearful of what would happen if he discovered a bunch of freaks made a tribute album to him. Olympus Mons, come on baby!

All my favourites are now gone.

I wanted drilling teeth to win - that would have been an awesome noisy experimental album.

I guess Olympus Mons would be cool but its another space album....

It's no more a space album than if we made an IDM tribute to some terrestrial mountain like K2 or Everest. If it were on an asteroid or something with no atmosphere then I catch your drift but a tribute to Olympus Mons could have a very grounded, terrestrial sound to it as well.

Agreed. It brings to mind big rich lo-fi sounds, slow trudging beats; an unimaginably large mountain rising slowly deforming a world. Alien, perhaps, but not specifically 'space-y' to me.

If he wins, we could find some balance between tributing the right kid, and not being too creepy. For example, we could take his name off the album, and just call him "the minipops kid", but use a somewhat recognizable portrait as the album cover...
