I'll propably get this.

I really love the textures and atmosphere of ekoplekz but for some reason I always find myself wishing the bpm was bumped up by like 3-5bpm.... Almost like he made the songs faster and then slowed them down. That sounds really stupid I bet.

Whatever, love ekoplekz! And that cover is amazing!

The previews for this are sounding great. Almost for sure a purchase. That art is ridiculous in the best of ways, too.

Listened to half the album on streaming from somewhere (can't remember right now...) and was surprisingly bored with it. Maybe it was the combo of 4-track style recordings then lowered in quality further by streaming, or maybe it was just that there's a lot of noodly tracks in there that weren't doing much for me. Will revisit it soon...

The jury is still out on this one.

It sounds like Ekoplekz, but something is missing.

its kinda ekoplekz light, without quite enough raw grit and squelchy subterranean organic guts.

Perhaps some aphex fanboys from a message board took a bunch of cool melodies and decided to do an ekoplekz tribute album.

Don't get me wrong, its all good stuff. He has produced so much music over the years that his sound does need to deviate from what I have come to expect as the "standard".

I just think I prefer the grimy ethereal sounding stuff with the dirty electronics and abrasive distortion - Memowrekz remains my favourite release thus far.

Will still be giving this album plenty of spins though, and perhaps it will become as awesome as 4track and unfidelity. Overall, his time with planet mu so far has been pretty golden.

a bit fluffy / 10

I picked this up and haven't listened yet. The artwork is incredible, tho.

Interesting thoughts fletch. I'm more of an Ekoplekz dabbler, so be curious to see what I think of this one.

MUSIC IS FUNS
