With “Frozen Niagara Falls”, PRURIENT amasses a sound in which one can find familiarity from the entire PRURIENT repertoire, all while defining a new statement within the PRURIENT sound as something unlike anything PRURIENT has done before resulting in what could very well be the PRURIENT magnum opus.

To be released on May 12, on 2xCD/Digital (May 15th in the EU/May 18th in the UK) followed by the 3xLP and limited cassette version shortly after the official release date (sometime early June whenever it gets done), tracklisting for “Frozen Niagara Falls” goes as follows:
Disc One
1. Myth Of Building Bridges
2. Dragonflies To Sew You Up
3. A Sorrow With A Braid
4. Every Relationship Earthrise
5. Traditional Snowfall
6. Jester In Agony
7. Poinsettia Pills
8. Shoulders Of Summerstones
Disc Two
9. Wildflowers (Long Hair With Stocking Cap)
10. Greenpoint
11. Lives Torn Apart (NYC)
12. Frozen Niagara Falls (Portion One)
13. Cocaine Daughter
14. Falling Mask
15. Frozen Niagara Falls (Portion Two)
16. Christ Among The Broken Glass

Cool, I loved Bermuda Drain but wasn't too taken by some of his stuff after that (I still don't think I really get his Vatican Shadows project either). These clips sound pretty cool though. Still can't shake the idea most of his vocals are about getting dumped by some girl though.

Stoked to watch OA II. The movement thing never bothered me, anyone familiar with Druidic studies will recognize the importance of movement to get to higher planes.

It's out now - streaming on Spotify and 13.99 CAD (11.65 USD) on bandcamp. Gonna give it listen a little later on.

Some cool gnar dark vibez on this but a little awkward at parties IMO. Bad wedding music, etc.

i don't know what to make of this, not a fan of any of these vocal styles at all. destroys it. leave it off. prefer the last prurient to this i think.

never heard Prurient before, going into this blind was a big wtf moment. This guy's big right now? Not really sure how to process that except for being extremely confused

I liked the fellating the corpse of Bryn Jones stuff better

that's interesting you had this reaction as prurient is considered the popiest noise artist in the scene and has a large non-noise listening audience. i really used to enjoy his early stuff but i'm not sure what he's doing nowadays- i just don't dig it much. maybe you'll like some of his early material?

I think it's fantastic but you need to treat it as a metal/goth album.

Lyrics are NIN-level embarrassing in parts but overall a strong work.

why confused ? its no really weird music

I think JE is confused that anyone likes it, since he's not into anything by him. (Sorry if I'm putting words in your mouth, JE, that's just the sense I get from your posts in other Prurient / Vatican Shadow threads).
