Unmanned Russian cargo spacecraft plummeting to Earth

Recommended Posts

From the Guardian:

Progress M-27M vessel, which was carrying supplies to the International Space Station, is said to be out of control

An unmanned Russian cargo spacecraft ferrying supplies to the International Space Station is plunging back to Earth and apparently out of control, according to AFP.

The news agency has quoted an unnamed official familiar with the situation as saying:

"It has started descending. It has nowhere else to go. It is clear that absolutely uncontrollable reactions have begun."

There's a live blog of it's progress on the Guardian:

There must be good stuff inside. It's like a giant treasure chest falling from the sky I bet.

The whole thing is like a lottery if you think about it, because we don't know where it's gonna land (yet). But whoever is in its path needs to get the hell out of the way first obviously.

To keep it real and analog, I'm gonna start posting to WATMM by writing my posts in fountain pen on hemp paper, putting them in bottles, and throwing them into the ocean.

A space pinata! I hope some space ice-cream bars fall over England, would like to try one of those.

Don't worry, they're probably just trying to get back to earth post haste due to a particularly foul toilet incident onboard.

I wouldn't go picking up any of those magical chocolate bars falling from the sky though.

foods in the tone of 'go to the fuckin store'

patayda chips

apple cracker thangies

carrots in brown paper bag

Looks like Gregg Wallace has got some 'on the side' work until the next season of Masterchef.

Since it reached orbit, it has since fallen into orbit with an expected decay of about a week. Follow its "progress" (haha :dadjoke:) here: http://www.satflare.com/track.asp?q=40619,40620#TOP
