The bit that starts at 0:26 reminds me of Analogue Bubblebath. And the vocals are classic AFX brand.

sounds like sidechaining here but it's lush cassette compression, i used to push the levels as much as possible so they would sound good in my friends car and his stereo wasn't very loud, and it chewed loads of my masters !
