Idris Elba's music

Agter seeeing the great Idris in the not so great Avengers 2, I decided to look up some of his mixes and tracks. He started as a DJ and drug dealer, then lucked out and got into Hollywood, he is a handsome bloke. His house stuff is pretty samey, but his hip hop remixes are pretty good. He'll occasionally lend a verse, but I like his chilled beats. His Mandela album left me cold. Just getting into Luther, anyone else a fan of this multi-talented man?

i guess i am even though i'm not too familiar with his non acting work. i think he also had (or will be having) a show about his car racing on bbc america. i really liked him in no good deed even though it's a shitty film, i found it fun and it has now become a guilty pleasure

He varies greatly in quality, tried to rap at first, then the soul tracks. He's been DJing since 1991, so he's had a long musical life. And sold a lot of weed according to Dave Chapelle.

He will always have a pass in my book for The Wire, plus he's from Hackney, that place is a shithole so he done good.
