mat
This track is made to reconcile harsh sounds and soft sounds. Using both to create a tension, but I wanted it to be more relaxing than not so it leans to the soft more. Most sounds here are samples of everyday objects. The sounds everyday objects make are often overlooked for the potential musicality of their texture. I hope it does something for you. https://soundcloud.com/lawrencelawrence/anaslow Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide mat's signature Hide all signatures https://soundcloud.com/lawrencelawrence Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/87495-anaslow/ Share on other sites

mat
Thanks for listening Verdant and bendish! Guest Spasmoid
Nice deep rich sounds, the feedbacky sound that cuts through was a tad too harsh for me personally though. That is a completely personal observation though. I really enjoyed the piano song to, especially the quiet middle section. Yeah I can see that for the feedback. For me that dissonance really makes me swoon and kind of hypnotizes me in a way in anyone's tracks so I love when I can add it to mine and it fits. That middle part of the piano song is the most like the way I really play! If you continue to dig into this rabbit hole, please also add a heavy weighted deep drum sound as counter part. You should also consider creating this drum out of some field recording. Also, your music has a dreamy or possibly hypnotic aspect to it. Work with that.
