“When they asked me to do the track, I was more than honored because I’m truly a fan of the show,” he explained. “I would have done it for free, but they gave me some money on top of it, so I was like, ‘F–k it, let’s do it!’ I watch it for historic reasons, to try to understand what this world was based on before I got here. I like to know how we got from there, to here, and the similarities between then and now.”

Funnily enough, quite a lot of GoT is based on real historical events.

Came in here to post this. I haven't watched the show except for a couple of episodes but basically there's a lot of history tied into the show. Wars of the Roses, the red wedding sounded like St. Bartholomew's Day massacre to me, the Battle of Blackwater Bay reminded me of this, there's bound to be more (I need to start watching ffs).

...But that's not what Snoop Dribble Dogga Lion Babble meant probably:

When asked by the interviewer to clarify what parallels he’d drawn between the fictional TV show and the real world, Snoop replied: “That kings still rule and a bitch f–ked everything up, in every situation!”

lol

You forgot to mention that one time that dragons invaded Wales in the 15th century

I have no interest in his music or endless cameos in films / rap songs for cash, but he is clearly an awesome person.

There was also a period he wanted to be the mascot of Celtic Football Club.

im ok with this. snoop gets a pass.

snoop gets a pass with just about anything he says or does

theres just something so loveable about him

one of my favourite sellouts

There are people on this earth who don't know how the sun works. Like, they have no conception that the earth spins around each day and that's why the sun appears and disappears. There are some people who think that every type of animal was herded onto an ark by a small family a few thousand years ago, as well as some who truly believe that the entirety of universe and all existence is only 6000 years old. Some believe that they get repeated buttplay from aliens on a regular basis.

Snoop being way too high to read a fucking history book since he was 10 isn't the worst thing in the world. There's no excuse...I mean, he has children, doesn't he? He should at least be not a total idiot... but just saying. There's worse offenses than this.

maybe the worst offense was all the people who propped him up and made him into a mega famous guy

or maybe im wrong, maybe its a good thing that hes now doing voices for kids cartoons on nickelodeon

Real talk tho: How dank is this mixtape:

Metal, rap..I'm pretty sure I heard a track that sounds like grime (MDMR?).

Method Man, Killswitch Engage, Mastodon, Talib Kweli, Snoop Dog....?

Can you imagine George RR Martin bangin out to this stuff while he writes prose about food?

I bet they play it in the writers room for the show.

I'm hardly a closed minded nun. Remember, I'm on a fucking IDM forum.... an IDM forum.. Think about that for a second before claiming people are closed minded nuns.
