Finally think my Boc/Aphex inspired tunes are worth sharing here.

Over the past few years I've been fussing around with my keyboards and now I have these songs.

Because of my limited music playlist (much of which does consist of Boc, Aphex, Casino vs Japan)

it follows that these diddys sound at the very least like some horrible mutation, screaming kill me kill me

if I happen to sound alright to you, I think that most of the credit should still go to the inspirationss

since without these beautiful examples I would be just a dog

I've made everything on BC free for download, and would really just enjoy some feedback. Difficult to find a good spot to get my nellys looked over where I live, so this seems like a brilliant place to share.

I'd also like to say that after reading the 'new thread' rules, one of them was for me to make at least 10 comments of other stuff,

Whoa you posted a lot of material... TBH it's a little daunting to digest all that. May be more effective to post what you'd consider to be one of your stronger tracks and give people the option to delve further if they like it; I'm fairly certain you'd get a stronger response if you approach it that way :)

Quite right, I likely went a little bit overboard with the amount of content I've shared here. At the very least it's all been wrapped up into albums or what not, so they're already as finnished and thought out as they'll get.

Born in Wales, family is there, but I attend Uni in America, and have been back and forth for some time.

Hey, excellent work!! Could you talk about your process a little bit? Not so much the technical stuff, but more the poetic side. Do you create at night? How much is planned and how much is straight improv?

Northernaire is nice, I quite enjoyed it!

I listened to Northernaire the whole way through. I'll be honest I'm not a huge BOC fan these days but its pretty damn impressive. Polished, high quality stuff.

These are really nice! Such soothing synths. I listened through most of it and am looking forward to listening through the rest.

I'm working on a new album now and so I've been trying to think about your question as I go along. The improv question is tricky tricky. I feel like I'm constantly changing, and loads of times I'll come back to a song and feel like a different person must be responsible. I think we all have this nature of constantly changing in a myriad of different ways that we aren't even aware of, so I try to work fast when it come to capturing what I'm hearing in my head. I don't write any of the music down, so in some respect improvisation is happening every time, and there's definitely some measure of intentionality. Not to say that I always end up with what I want at the end, but I do hear something internally and try to struggle for that sound. I do whistle a LOT, and often I'll hear or whistle something that gets recorded in some measure later on, and it feels like sneezing when you really need to sneeze. Recording happens at night, usually, for loads of reasons I guess. Work, Uni, eating cakes and what not. I don't want to romanticize the night, but it does provide some special peace. This sounds REALLY cliche, but at the end of the day I really am making music for myself, or trying to have this pleasurable experience in being creative. It's not a pure experience, and I'll definitely have some sips or an evil cigarette or whatever, but at the end of the day it's this great way to relax and chill out with myself. I wish more people had access to some decent headphones and a even a basic synthesizer that they can switch on and cruise with. I can remember feeling a remarkable positive change in my mood after buying my first knob riddled dream machine, it gave me this great space to explore, by myself with no distractions.

Listened to Window Druzy. Warm stuff, really enjoyable listen during the wee hours of the night.
