yep those are great when you need to learn some theory about stuff, good to start reading about a given topic.

Also, it's not an article but I've been very happy with this book:

It is very much aimed at mainstream commercial production rather than the sort of production we're talking about here, but as long as you disregard his jokes and example tracks (dude really likes Fergie for some reason) there is a lot of insughtful stuff about building a mix, particularly the chapters about EQ and reverb.
