Apple Music Playlists

Anyone using Apple Music? It suggests pretty good playlists once you start liking enough tracks.

Brian Eno - Behind The Boards.

'Hear how the musical maverick helped other icons change the game'.

Feel free to share your finds.

btw, I though the 'For You' section was utterly hopeless until I worked out how it's analysing your listening. You just have to 'Like' a track and it's added to the algorithm they use to suggest stuff.

I just got recommended Experimental Beach Bums: Listen to Experimental Beach Bums by Apple Music Experimental on @AppleMusic.

https://itunes.apple.com/us/playlist/experimental-beach-bums/idpl.771f043eca8a48da873da656f2cb6876

Some Fennesz, BoC and Ae in there, not bad.

Edit:

OPN Influences just came up too (Vangelis, MBV, Kraftwerk, Robert Hood)

Just started using this, got a recommendation for Dettinger on the Kompakt label: https://itunes.apple.com/ca/playlist/intro-to-dettinger/idpl.273e11a7299a4b35a4296ff2bbef506e

Some very chilled out stuff, and I was unaware of this guy before, so kudos to Apple for that.

Some of it seems very weird though: I have a bunch of OPN in my files, so why would they recommend the "intro to OPN" playlist? Same with the playlists for best of drill'n'bass and intro to squarepusher. I would expect them to see what I have uploaded, and then go from there. Maybe they need more time to curate beyond the obvious easy selections.

Ambient Music: Studying - https://itunes.apple.com/ca/playlist/ambient-music-studying/idpl.572ed2f13c9c493ea5f303108742b13c

Philip Jeck, Aphex, Biospher, Global Communication, Fennesz....good stuff, including some modern classical like Max Richter.

Looks like Apple is listening.

These playlists are solid. I didn't think I'd switch from Spotify, but right now Apple has much better curation. I usually have to dig through page after page of youtube posts on WATMM to find new stuff. Still will, but this is nice too. :)

I wish there was a way to dismiss the "intro to" playlists for bands you say u already enjoy.

Many of these playlists were brought over from Beats. But i hope more are added often

Also if anyone has any playlists they've created I would be into those as well! :)

Thought I would give their "beats1" radio station a go and first track was FSOL - Papua New Guinea. Good signs!

Spoke too soon, the second track was some godawful bro-trap.
