Looks nice, I haven't watched dr who since the mid 80s, would I be ok jumping straight in this season? I don't want to spend countless weeks catching up on the previous seasons.

As long as you hang onto the constants: Doctor, TARDIS, companion. Everything else is pretty much as fluid as Doctor Who normally is, and the biggest change is the pace and writing of the revived series is much better.

Oh, and the Master (if you know the character) is now female.

Not really wow, just looks like any other season but with BURRRRRRRRPPPPP music over the top of a fast cut trailer, only "oh thats cool" bit was the girl from Games of Thrones is in it
