The atmosphere, setting, music, the tragic characters, etc are all so very satisfying. Only just now did I read they renewed it for two more seasons. It was rescued from cancellation before by Amazon, after the BBC dropped the show after season 2. Yes... Similar tone and setting (Birmingham in the '20s rather than London in the 1890s) but probably a better show overall. They're both sweet though.
