I found a disc of some tracks that i breifly worked on last summer, and I decided to re-work some of them. nothing special, stupid and simple, very cheesy at times, but fun dance tracks.

called this one "daddy"

Ha, this is pretty dirgy, sounds like what the melvins would produce if they had been locked in kraftwerks basement. I Like it, its got plenty of attitude. Cant fail with air raid samples.

Yeah its not bad. I quite like the phat ass punk/Prodigy aesthetic of it. Yeah reminds me of The Prodigy quite a bit. Mmm need more high end synth. I can kinda see where you were going with this tune but its gets pretty repetative and boring after a while as its pretty loopy. Certainly lots of potential in it but to me it does sound very much earlier stages of a track as oppose to complete. It needs a lead synth for one and some thought as to how to keep it interesting over 4 mins odd. Certainly potential there but too sketchy at the moment I'd say.

fuckin a, thanks for listening guys. glad you liked,, so it has a punk sound? never thought of it like that...funny though cause i play drums in a punk/metal band.

this was only the first take, there's alot of little tweaks i'de like to make. And your definately right, Promo. it needs a lead synth for sure, and some sort of ending. I'm also going to work on that 303 line more, and make it a little more interesting.

made my day, thanks for listening!

oh, how do the levels sound?

beat is my favorite part. the chording in the beginning is real nice, too.

i think the air raid sample is a good one... in fact, i'd say play with it - pitch it down and loop a chunk in time, have it faster and distorted... play around with it. samples are fun like that.

good idea. im gonna try that, i haven't had a chance to work more on this yet, but i will before the week is over.

glad you liked it, Dr. Hat

i would post a link, but i'm not sure how to,

what most message boards use to recognize an address is the http:// before the address, u can also use a tag but the complete address beginning with http:// will automatically be converted into a link, as in http://www.myspace.com/gelcap.

checking out the pit . really dig it - dirty minimal electro. reminds me of the incidental music you see on csi man!

*imagines duck-mouthed woman jiggling a testube.

daddy - tis cool also, like the simplified aesthetic, reminds me a little of nin in places. the 303 is bit clumsy, maybe consider sticking it through some fx to get it more decayed so it blends with the rest of the elements.

good stuff man.

daddy - the beat is nice and tight, very old school, very danceable, while still a dark, brooding atmosphere, nice

the first 20 secs or so are awesome, the whole lead-in, then when the beat stutters and the alarm comes in, also nice,

although at 1:45 when the lead comes in, it sounds a little weak, I would make it more attention-grabbing.

the pit- yes dark grimey electro comes to mind, great song, love the 303, but it does get a little long seeming, maybe trim it down a tad, or

change up the 303, it's good, but sometimes too much of a good thing can be bad.

your songs both have a cool character to them though, dark electro, old school techno influenced, while a trace of 80's post-punk goth is present too

which is awesome, kudos man keep up the work

dude, i'm very glad you liked the songs. I'm going to go back over these tracks, to polish them up, take out basically all the 303 lines( because i think they sound like shit) and shorten them all up a bit. thats when i have enough songs for an LP.

anyway, thanks for the comments.

keep listening
