How to Find a Computer Modeler/Illustrator?

Recommended Posts

Guest Wall Bird

Hey all,

I’m in the process of putting together artwork for a new music project and am searching for an artist who can create computer models and textures in the style of Can Pekdemir, notably the hair, fur, and skin textures of his ‘Fur’ and ‘System Structure’ series.

So far, I’ve been unable to find anyone who fits the bill, nor do I know many people who do this kind of illustration. Does anyone have a friend/acquaintance who does this stuff, or know of any good resources where I may be able to find a computer illustrator? Geographic proximity is not a requirement. Though it’s a plus if they’re anywhere near Austin, TX. I'm not necessarily trying to recreate the human forms from his images, but apply those textures and black and white aesthetic to simpler shapes, like text.

Attached are some examples of the work I'm referring to.

If y'all know anyone who might be a good candidate for this kind of work, please pass my email on to them or simply refer me to some of their work so that I can check it out for myself: slowhandsound (at) gmail

As lala said.

I've included the 3D equivalent to graffiti "throwup" for you. I do mostly architectural work. Don't get into much else. Wanted to screw around with it a bit.

Check this link & post a job offering. There's some amazing guys there & sure you would get some replies.

Thanks user487363530. And user4873635301. Now 48736353001.

Dr Lopez, the first is just clay-type deformation, things 3D programs thrive on, and 2nd is an object with hair /fur added, but the hair is an object, like random twigs etc

Done very well, I might add. Nothing shabby about the workmanship, takes skill to do it with that beauty

yes i was kinda kidding - i work in an architecture office and am highly proficient in rhino - i know less about the modelers that just work for producing SICK IMAGES MANG and more about modelers that need to replication dimensionally accurate space
