Cheers, thanks for the kind words. Yeah, actually. When I started the project I tried to make sure that I wasn't infringing too hard on anyone, but it turns out that around that time another artist who produces vaporwave music using the word telepath also started production, and to be honest his music became considerably more successful than mine, but also obscure and synthy, and it was difficult to avoid getting confused with that guy. It's actually pretty chill stuff, but every so often I'd see someone follow my music, who also follows a bunch of sea punk/vaporwave shit, and eventually I just thought it was time to admit defeat and go with something else, especially because I think he was probably making music before I was, but I was unable to figure that out at the time.

nice stuff! hows it going down in champaign? I went to a killer halloween party there many moons ago.

Thanks! Not bad, Halloween can be pretty good here. Smoked a bit of weed out of a pumpkin pipe one year, so that was a good party/memory

really enjoying these now. very nice work. reminds me of john carpenter and the BoC stuff that sounds a bit like john carpenter. and music from the x-files. i consider that last one high praise so you might as well also :)

dude i just realised i made this exact mistake! haha. you had posted a thread that was like "preview for my new album as Telepath" or something and I assumed you were the vaporwave telepath. i'm quite naive, re-reading it and it just looks like i'm trolling you :p

 

hehehe. I guess now you understand at a more personal level why I changed the name of my project. XD No worries mate, it's especially easy to make mistakes in this instance. Cheers!
