Not knowing much about surfing, I just see a bunch of guys on big waves comparable to the video. I'll have to take your word that the equipment and situation was unique enough to identify, just looked like surfing to me :)

yup thats laird...on the wave that starts @ 3:10 at least,cuz he's the only person to have ever surfed on that beach...i know cuz i used to be a surf geek, and im still kinda into it and he's the one doin alll the strap-on board shit, i cant really tell about the other shots but its prolly him too.., cool find i was just watching a movie about him
