Recording the Remaining US Shows

Recommended Posts

I really hope someone will record these last few US dates...so if you're on the fence about recording, please do it! Thanks to those who recorded the Brooklyn and Orlando shows. Epic. Historical. Singular. Nothing else like Autechre (not hyperbole).

So disappointed in the crowd for the SF date. There is an indierock/electronica music festival this weekend and they designated the Ae show as a pre-party event for it. Brought in a bunch of people who literally had no idea who the band was and they proceeded to have inane conversations during the entire set. Also, Mezzanine has changed their sound setup and had their main stacks much quieter than they usually do i thought.

It seemed like they only played for 50 minutes and cut out the final track they had been playing recently. I'm wondering if they felt the shit vibe of the crowd. The first 30 of the set (through the bass drone track) was the best I had heard most of that matierial and was very danceable and groovy, but the venue was oversold and there was literally no room to move.

Still a great set, but audio being low and dude bros shoving me all night definitely brought down the experience. Very glad i got to see them in Amsterdam and hear full on insanity and hear this segment of the tour, the flow they have developed is pretty awesome throughout the pieces.

the audio was surprisingly low. I hope AE reads this thread, because this is now the 3rd time they have chosen to play at Mezzanine in SF and now there are at least 5 places with waaay better sound. Chris Clark and Robert Henke got a better venue booking the last time they played, it doesn't make sense to me. Crowd fucking sucked at the SF show, everyone was still. pockets of people dancing but you could tell a lot of people were annoyed by it.

I had a great time at the SF show!!! I felt like I was dancing around in a giant teseract! Hung with some WATMMs before and after the show! Shout-outs to Braintree, JDub and SPD! Beautiful venue though I would say 1015 Folsom is better overall since the stage is at the center rather than tucked into the corner.

John Ehrlichman what would you say is the best venue in the city for this sort of show?
